Dale Parkes brings more than 25 years of experience developing and leading advanced electro-optical, infrared, and high-energy laser systems.

Before joining Mantis Space, Parkes was a Chief Engineer and Technical Fellow at Boeing, where he served as a company-wide technical authority in EO/IR and laser systems and led multidisciplinary engineering teams across major aerospace and defense programs. His work spans space architectures, beam control, adaptive optics, laser communications, and the transition of directed-energy technologies from research through operational testing.

Parkes holds a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Sciences from Caltech and an M.S. in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
